You've been done Yith - that's clearly a publicity shot from 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum', not the la-de-dah bloke but the one who was always dressing up in womens clothes for the 'shows'.

:P :P :P

A composite shot I did last year some time. Real me. Real Omaha beach. Just not at the same time.

Could have done with more processing imho but I've lost the source files. Pity Omaha beach looks nothing like it did then and all. I understand that the shingle bank that is mentioned in so many accounts was taken up and used by the engineers to surface roads.

Fine...if we're going to be like that...

I dug this out of a farmer's field in Isigny-Sur-Mer

Actually spoke to a Frenchman recently who was given a Graflex Speed Graphic camera (or what remained of it) by a farmer in Isigny last year. It was probably left there by the 165th Signal Photo Corps right before the start of Operation Cobra.

I found this on an old disk, looks to be from a History Channel shoot on Stalingrad. I wonder what happened to him?

But of course, the Windhund are everywhere.

Before I learnt about too much kit....
grenades, 100 rounds of 7.92, a barrel case and A frame with blanket etc.
